About StrongHands Project
SHND is based on Sprouts(SPRTS) which in turn is based on Peercoin(PPC).
Looking at the repositories of both currencies on GitHub you can see that the codes are almost the same.
SHMN is based on Dash, PIVx and ZeroCoin Protocols to provide the fast, secure, private transactions combined with passive income through masternodes. SHMN was created from a swap of 3.3 trillion SHND Coins.
SHND and SHMN are currencies which unites Proof-of-Stake (PoS) and Proof-of-Work (PoW) technologies, unlike Bitcoin (BTC), which is just PoW
Proof-of-stake (PoS) is a type of algorithm by which a cryptocurrency blockchain network aims to achieve distributed consensus. In PoS-based cryptocurrencies the creator of the next block is chosen via various combinations of random selection.
A proof-of-work (POW) system (or protocol, or function) is an economic measure to deter denial of service attacks and other service abuses such as spam on a network by requiring some work from the service requester, usually meaning processing time.
Since SHND is practically equal to PPC, reading the PPC white paper will certainly help you understand its technology. This is the link to the whitepaper: https://peercoin.net/assets/paper/peercoin-paper.pdf
The difference between PPC and SHND is that SHND offers 100% reward every 30 days of participation; PPC offers 1% annually. We believe that is the reason for the huge amount of SHND coins (according to the Cryptobe website, over 10.6 trillion), against the approximately 24.5 million PPC currently in circulation, according to the CoinMarketCap website.

You can deploy a masternode renting a VPS server, you will be required to hold 1,000 SHMN Coins.
Here we have a guide if you want to it yourself: https://github.com/nashsclay/StrongHands-Masternode
If you have difficulties can hire services such as GIN Coin, ZCore, SunnyNode, NodeHub.io and Gentarium.
Notice: Be careful with services who require sending coins for shared nodes, users have reported many services offering and shutting down after a while. Our Community is not responsible and have no obligation to solve such issues.
